One day in the CNE and the Air Show

Before the summer ended, I went to CNE and the Air Show with my son and my husband. To our surprise, so many people were at CNE. sometimes I thought I was at Beijing.
When the Air Show began, everybody stood up for "O Canada". I feelt strange because I didn't know how to sing. And I missed my country again. I wish my son had been interested in the show, but after only several minutes he told me that he wanted to go to an other place to play something else. So we went to see the super dog show. To our disappointment, the show was full. Finally, we went to the farm. All of us liked to play in the farm. I like to teach children that all kinds of things come from the farm. My son played very happyly and learned how to pick vegetables and other things from the farm.
It was 7:00 p.m. when we arrived home. We were tired but very happy for this holiday!

Second time going to Edwards Garden

When the summer came, I selected some outdoor places to play with my son every weekend. On this Sunday, we originally wanted to go to the Coronation Park. After we checked the location from the google map, we found it was a little too far away from my home. We changed our minds on the highway. We went instead to Edwards Garden, which we had visited one month ago.

We remembered that people can go to another park named Wilket Creek, which is connected to Edwards Garden. So we decided to go there with other people. It is perfect place for jogging, cycling, running and walking. Because of so many trees on both sides of the road. We walked on for about half an hour to the Wilket Creek Park, which was a perfect place to have a barbecue. After having a picnic, we walked back to Edwards Garden.

When we arrived at, a famous song of Beijiing Opera was sung by someone. Led by the sound, we found a big outdoor party of dozens Chinese seniors. My son told me the sound was the same as what he had heard in Beijing's Black Bamboo Park, which is a very famous park in Beijing with hundreds of years of history. We missed Beijing again.

When we decided to go home, we came across another surprise. A wedding! The groom was of African descent. The bride looked like she came from Russia. The wedding looked very formal because everyone was wearing black or white gowns. My son asked me another question:"Why do they get married?" I answered:"They will traditionally have a lovely baby just like you!"

Overall, I liked this sunny Sunday.

First trip to Niagara Falls

On July 2, we started off at 9:00am to drive to see Niagara Falls. At Mississuaga, we stopped to pick up my friend and her son.

For the long drive, we topped up my car. But as we were on the highway, we found the fuel meter just pointing at the half tank. To our surprise, the fuel meter pointed at zero within several minutes. We stopped at the nearest service station to check the gasoline tank. There were still lots of fuel. Even though we also worried about the gasoline tank broken. When we arrived at Niagara Falls, we checked the fuel again. We guessed the fuel meter was out of order. So I suggest that my friends should never buys a second-hand car!

I also realized English pronounciation is very important. My friend's son told us a story about his first time traveling to Niagara Falls. He told the taxi driver who is the Africa ancestry to go to "Negro Falls". The driver stared at him. Then he understood his problem. Then he asked the driver how to say that. the driver told him it is "Niagara Falls".

When we arrived at the city of Niagara Falls. First, We went to Marineland. It was my happiest experience in Canada. When the dolphins, the walruses and the sealions performed for us. The audience applauded including my son. He told me he recognized the dolphins because he had seen them in Beijing Aquarium.

Compared with the Marineland, Niagara Falls is not as beautiful as what I had imagined.

Whatever, I will never foget my first trip to Niagara Falls.

I missed my home in Beijing very much.There are lots of this kind of equipments near my house.
